“The debutante may not be everything…” Fern’s eyes flashed. “But she stands for a lot. Her father is a pillar of the military, she’s my big brother’s precious little master, and she thinks she’s smarter than me. I want her to scream. I want her to beg for death, and only when the government crumbles around her like the Blood Games did around me do I intend to grant that mercy.”
